<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional device in which a detection time and a detection cost for detecting an electronic watermark as a means for copy control have to be reduced. SOLUTION: The reproducing device provided with an electronic watermark reproduction control means is provided with a reproduction signal processing that processes a signal outputted from a reproduction medium to output a video compression signal, a video compression signal detection means that extracts an electronic watermark imbedded compression signal in the video compression signal from the reproduction signal processing to extract longitudinal lateral size data of the video signal from the video compression signal, an electronic watermark detection deciding means that uses the longitudinal lateral size data of the video signal to extract an electronic watermark from the video compression signal and provides an output of a control signal to pass the video compression signal, cut of the video compression signal or stops reproduction of the video compression signal, and a system control means that passes the video compression signal, cuts off the video compression signal or stops the reproduction of the video compression signal or ejects the reproduction medium according to the control signal from the electronic watermark detection deciding means.</p> |
