PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave amplifier that is stably in operation by suppressing undesired oscillation at frequencies other than the operating frequency or undesired oscillation at a frequency a half of the operating frequency of an amplifier while suppressing gain deterioration at the operating frequency of the amplifier. SOLUTION: This microwave amplifier has an amplifier element 1 consisting of more than one transistor(TR) and an input matching circuit 2 that is connected to an input terminal of the amplifier element to convert the input impedance of the amplifier element into the output impedance of a connected signal source side circuit and that consists of a resistor 3 connected in parallel with the signal line in the input matching circuit 2 from the circuit of the signal source side to the input terminal of the amplifier element 1 and whose one end is connected to the signal line and of a tip open stub 4 connected to the other end of the resistor 3 and whose length is about 1/2 wavelength with respect to the operating frequency of the microwave amplifier.
