PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector wherein various improvements are applied to components of the optical connector attached to an optical fiber cable in order to connect an optical fiber. SOLUTION: The breakdown of a plug frame is prevented by forming a stop ring of resin. Also, a groove, which elastically makes a dent in the engaging projection of the stop ring when the stop ring is inserted into the inserting hole of the plug frame in connection with it, is provided. Further, a surface such as slipping through between plural optical fiber cables is provided in the rear end part of the optical connector. Furthermore, a female thread is formed in a caulking ring in order to reinforce the strength of fixing. A recessed part in the inner wall of which an indent is formed when it is caulked is provided in the outer wall of the caulking ring. Further, a projected part for preventing the caulking ring from falling off is also formed in the stop ring.
