PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing heater controller capable of preventing high frequency noise from occurring, preventing the controller from becoming large, preventing a rush current to the fixing heater from being generated, holding the value of the temperature of the fixing heater to be a stable value, and improving fixing quality in the energizing control to the fixing heater. SOLUTION: This fixing heater controller is provided with a temperature detecting means detecting the temperature of the fixing heater, first and second connecting circuits connecting an AC power source with a heater for fixing in parallel, a first switch and a resistance wire serially connected to the first connecting circuit, a second switch connected to the second connecting circuit, and a control means controlling the first and second switches, so that the energizing to the fixing heater is performed or stopped based on the detection output of the temperature detecting means.
