PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float switch that enables to readily change the detection level of a liquid. SOLUTION: A float 2 which rises or falls according to the liquid level W is arranged between a pair of vertically opposed electrode plates 12, 14. The float 2 has a central hole 3, in which a conductive shaft 4 is inserted contacting thereto to short-circuit the two electrode plates 12, 14 according to the descending level of the float 2. The level of the float 2 contacting the conductive shaft 4 may be variably set by a detection level setting part 5 as desired. This increases the scope of applying the switch, reducing the price.
