PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode ray tube enhancing a display quality by not clearly showing adjacent screen joint. SOLUTION: A fluorescence screen is divided into a plurality of areas by an electron beam from a plurality of electron guns to be scanned, and each of scanned area has an overlapping area overlapping with an adjacent another scanned area. A mask body 36 of a shadow mask 30 corresponds to the scanned area, and has a plurality of effective areas (a), (b) with a plurality of electron beam passing hole being formed and a boundary 41 positioned between the effective areas and opposed to the overlapping area. A mask frame 38 supporting a peripheral part of the mask body is equipped with a middle frame 44 opposed to the boundary. A plurality of regulation members 56 for regulating the degree of parallelism of the boundary to the overlapping portion of the fluorescence screen is installed between the middle frame and the boundary 41.
