<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of inputs and outputs in an optical switch network while suppressing the number of optical elements such as optical switches through which light passes, distribution means, and synthesis means that is while suppressing the insertion loss. SOLUTION: Intermediate stage distribution means 12a-12f receive only output light of respective input stage distribution means 11a-11f corresponding thereto; output light beams of intermediate synthesis means 13a-13f are supplied only to respective output stage synthesis means 14a-14f corresponding thereto; output light beams of the intermediate stage distribution means 12a-12f are supplied to the plural intermediate output stage synthesis means 14a-14f; and the intermediate stage synthesis means 13a-13f are coupled so as to respectively receive output light beams of the plural input stage distribution means 11a-11f.</p> |
