PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress latent image deterioration due to carrier diffusion and to form an image of high contrast and high quality. SOLUTION: Relation between layer a thickness d [μm] of a photosensitive layer 5, an absolute value of surface charge densityσs [C/m2] of a photoreceptor 1 at the time of forming the latent image and minimum resolution R [dpi] of an image forming device is 1/R>[1/(25.4×103)]×[(0.0212×1n(σs)+0.1285)×d2+(-1.101×1n(σs)-6.532)×d]. Furtherσs is <2.0×10-3 and a relation: d<(1/R)×(25.4×103)×(0.7) is satisfied. When resolution R is >=1200 dpi, special effect can be obtained. The photosensitive layer 5 contains an organic material. Further the photosensitive layer 5 has a-Si series material layer and a-Si(1-X)Gex series material layer, too. |
