PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona electric charge apparatus being supported in a state such that a bending is not caused in the directions of length and width in a grid plate. SOLUTION: The corona electric charge apparatus comprises a grid plate (112) made of thin metal plate having mesh portions (112a) and held at prescribed intervals at the surface of an image carrier, supporting protrusions 110a for contacting and supporting the grid plate 112, suspension means 110b for pulling for suspending the grid plate 12 at one end. The grid plate 112 and the supporting protrusions 110a are with each other throughout the same width as a width of the grid plate 112 at the mesh portions 112a, the grid plate 112 is formed with openings 112e both sides of a portion contacted with the supporting protrusions 110a.
