PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice recognition device which can reduce a mental burden on a user like a vehicle driver. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a voice input part 1 which acquires the voice of the user in the compartment of a vehicle, a voice recognition part 2 which compares the voice with preliminarily registered voice data, a control part 3 which gives a prescribed indication to a controller 6 which controls an apparatus on the vehicle on the basis of a voice command recognized by the voice recognition part 2, and a voice synthesizing part 4 which drives a voice output part 5 so as to output a voice related to various information from the part 5 on the basis of the indication from the control part 3. Plural modes of at least a normal mode and a detail mode are provided as contents of the output from the voice output part 5. A special command to switch the mode is prepared as voice data, and the control part 3 controls the voice output part 5 so as to output the voice in the detail mode for more detailed contents than the normal mode when the special command is recognized.
