PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce driving load on an image carrier in removing residual toner in an image forming device. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a photoreceptor drum 2a, an electrifying means 3a uniformly electrifying the surface of the drum 2a, an exposure means forming an electrostatic latent image by radiating light corresponding to image data to the drum 2a electrified by the means 3a, a developing means 4a developing the electrostatic latent image by supplying toner to the electrostatic latent image, a metallic shaft 5a arranged in the vicinity of the means 3a and attracting the toner adhering to the means 3a by electric force, a voltage applying means 15 for electrifying the means 3a to have the same polarity as the toner, electrifying the shaft 5a in the midst of printing to have the same polarity as the means 3a and electrifying the shaft 5a in the midst of non-printing to have a reverse polarity of the means 3a, and a scraping means 23a scraping the toner attracted by the shaft 5a.
