PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system constituted so that units are not assembled by erroneous combination by deciding whether the disassembled units are correctly assembled by original combination or not when the disassembled units are assembled again. SOLUTION: Control data related to its own units are stored in an area *1 of a non-volatile memory (nonvolatile memory for a camera body 16, non- volatile memory for a lens frame 20, non-volatile memory for AF 20 and non- volatile memory for a stroboscope 40) arranged every unit at the manufacturing time of the respective units. Besides, unit combination control data related to the combination with another unit is recorded in the area *3 at the assembly of the units. At the re-assembly, it can be decided whether they are correctly assembled by the original combination or not by collating them.
