PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the defect that a dedicated driving source such as a motor or an electromagnetic device is needed when a stroboscopic light emission part is automatically popped up interlocked with a photographing action causing a loss of compactness and increase in the cost. SOLUTION: This photographing device that can be projected from and housed in a device body 28 and the motor M driving the changing mechanism of the irradiation angle of stroboscopic light is arranged in a stroboscope unit S, is provided with a lock means 16 locking the unit S to the device body 28 in a housed state and a pressing means 31 pressing the unit S in the projecting direction. Then, the engagement of the unit S with the device body by the lock means is released by the driving force of the motor.
