<p>An extension ladder (10) comprised of a pair of base rails (20) interlocked in a tongue (32) and groove (22) relationship with a pair of slide rails (30) is disclosed. The rails (20, 30) may be manufactured in a variety of shapes including 'I' beams, rectangles, boxes, or even ovals or circular shapes. Some embodiments of the ladder (10) include a pulley assembly (70) which is fastened to a fly rail rung (50) and a rope (10) is passed through the pulley (70) to form a continuous loop around the rungs (40) of the base set of rail rungs and the fly rail rungs (50). In addition, some embodiments include means (170) for attaching tools to the fly rail.</p> |
