BUTTING CONTACT TERMINAL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a butting contact of a terminal using simple structure. SOLUTION: The contact terminal structure includes a butting contact terminal 3 having a contacting surface 1 at one side of a panel shape of tab 2 and an elastic member 4 contacted with the other side of the tab 2. As a mate terminal 19 is pressed against the contacting surface, the tab is moved in the thickness direction of panel against a biasing force of the elastics member. A butting portion 15 having a contacting surface 1 is formed at the tab and the terminal 3 has a wire crimping portion 9. A positioning hole 16 is formed at the tab 2 and a positioning pin 17 is provided at the first wall 5. Coupling portion 23 for the positioning pin 17 is provided at the second wall 16 and the second wall supports the elastic member 4. An inserting hole 20 for a mate terminal 19 is formed at the first wall 5 and a butting protrusion 15 is disposed in the inserting hole 20. A taper portion 22 of the mate terminal 19 is contacted to an edge of the inserting hole 20. A wire 12 connected to the wire crimping portion 9 is delivered in the bending direction of a tab 2' by bending the tab.
