PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect a marker and to transmit the information on its own vehicle to the following vehicles. SOLUTION: An information collector means 100a of a preceding car 100 acquires the information on the traveling state of its own vehicle and supplies the information to a modulator means 100b. The means 100b modulates the supplied information and supplies it to a flashing means 100c which flashes a marker 100d according to the supplied information. An image pickup means 200a of a following vehicle 200 photographs the marker 100d and supplies it to a specifying means 200b which specifies a marker image from the image data which are outputted from the means 200a. An effectiveness deciding means 200c decides the effectiveness of the specified marker image. A distance measuring means 200d measures the distance between the vehicles 100 and 200 by means of the marker image. A demodulator means 200e demodulates the information that is superimposed on the marker 100d and reproduces the original information. A control means 200f controls the traveling state of its own vehicle according to the information which are acquired from the means 200d and 200e.
