BACK-UP LAMP AND LIGHTING SOURCE COVER AND REFLECTOR FOR LIGHTING SOURCE CONSTITUTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back-up lamp capable of preventing bright lines caused by light introduced from an edge portion of a light guide plate, and a lighting source cover and a reflector constituting such a back-up lamp. SOLUTION: A reflector 6 is metallic sheet having a thickness of about 0.1 mm and surrounds the circumference of a linear light source 5 on its rear side at a predetermined distance. An upper chassis 1 has an L-shaped section, and its adjoining surface in contact with the reflector 6 is formed with a rib 1a in a longitudinal direction of the linear light source 5 and parallel to the light source 5. The rib 1a has a predetermined height and is formed at such a position that a predetermined gap is left between the rib 1a and a light entering section 4 of the light guide plate 10. The reflector 6 is bent downward in a portion contacting with the rib 1a of the upper chassis 1 and thus the reflector 6 covers an upper edge portion of the light entering section 4 of the light guide plate 10 owing to its downward bending.
