PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method by which a television receiver interconnected with a personal computer controls the personal computer so as to allow the personal computer to send/receive information to/from the television receiver. SOLUTION: The connector of this invention interconnecting the television receiver and the personal computer is provided with a television coding section that encodes a signal of the television receiver to generate a 1st packet signal, a personal computer coding section that encodes a personal computer signal generated from the personal computer to generate a 2nd packet signal, a television transmission/reception section that receives the 1st packet signal externally, a television decoding section that decodes the 2nd packet signal, a personal computer decoding section that decodes the 1st packet signal, and 1st and 2nd transmission lines connected between the television transmission/reception section and the personal computer transmission/reception section.
