PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera that can realize a consecutive coverage with highest image quality at any magnification. SOLUTION: The digital camera (1310) is provided with a processor (1325) having an algorithm (1400) that compares one set of resolution pixel values in a generated image file with any of resolution pixel values in a file selected by a user and corresponding to that of the resolution pixel values in the image file, and provides one set of the resolution pixel values in the generated image file when the pixel value in the file selected by the user and corresponding to the pixel value in the image file is the corresponding resolution pixel value in the generated image file or over, or provides one set of the reduced resolution pixel values in the generated image file when not.
