This invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment of tumors. In particular, the invention relates to methods and agents for the treatment of tumors expressing a <i>tumor-antigen</i> [also known as a tumor-associated antigen (<i>TAA</i>), lineage specific, differentiation, or self-antigens], and more specifically to methods and agents for the treatment of melanomas expressing the Melan-A/MART-1 antigen. The invention also relates to methods for identifying agents that regulate expression of <i>tumor-antigens</i>.
