The structure 10 comprises at least three vanes 11, 12, 13 projecting from a common axis 14, structure rigidity being supplied by horizontal shelf portions 20, 22. A tacky substance 29 is coated on the outer surfaces of the vanes 11, 12, 13 and may also be coated on the shelf portions 20, 22. A container 28, enclosing an insect attractant, may be lodged within aperture 50. Alternatively, the attractant may be mixed with paraffin wax and adhered to the substance 29, or enclosed in glass or plastics bubbles before adhering to the substance 29. The trap material may be coated with water and/or grease repellant. |
