<p>Injection moulding machine, e.g. for coating a sliding clasp fastener, has bolts projecting into each of the half-moulds, to grip the strip and hold it, these being mounted in plates, urged by springs into the clamping position. A piston acts on each plate against the spring force and the pistons move in a cylinder connected to the inlet duct for plastic fed to the mould. The pressure of inflowing plastic moves the pistons against the spring forces, lifting the bolts clear of the strip to permit complete coverage with plastic.</p> |
