PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition which has such a flowability as to exhibit a viscosity enabling coating, has a long pot life, develops cohesive power by short-time irradiation with light, does not require a temporary bonding work, and is excellent in resistances to impact and creep after curing. SOLUTION: This composition contains a compound (X) having a crosslinking or polymerizing group and a compound (Y) which, when irradiated with an active energy ray, generates a component which causes the crosslinking or polymerization of at least a part of compound X. The viscosity of the composition is 1-10,000,000 cP (25 deg.C). The conversion of compound X just after the completion of the irradiation with an active energy ray is 70% or lower; and that after 24 hr aging at 25 deg.C after the completion of the irradiation is 50-100%. The elongation at break and dynamic tensile modulus of a cured item after 24 hr aging at 25 deg.C after the completion of the irradiation is 10-1, 000% and 105-109 Pa, respectively.
