PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of readily executing the adjustment of the inclination of one or more print heads provided on a carriage. SOLUTION: When a paper P is diagonally fed on a platen 9, an image printed thereon by an image recorder is inclined with respect to the paper P. Therefore, one end of a slide shaft 13 that supports a carriage 12 having a plurality of ink heads 10 loaded thereon is rotatably fixed and the other end thereof is so constituted that the angle with respect to a paper P can be changed by means of an angle changing means. The angle of the ink head 10 with respect to the paper P is adjusted by operating the angle changing means by printing a test pattern and detecting a paper end of the paper P by paper end detecting sensors 30a, 30b. A slide shaft 13, a timing fence 21 and a driving belt 22 of the carriage 12 are integrally moved by means of a slide plate 23 of the angle changing means. |
