PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveyance device preventing a paper sheet from jammed in a clearance between guide plates and smoothly conveying the paper sheet without causing the conveyance irregularity even if the dimensions of respective components of conveyance rollers are varied. SOLUTION: In an exposure conveyance line (paper conveyance device) for a digital printer, the paper sheet 3 is conveyed by first and second conveyance rollers 12, 14 and first and second press-contact rollers 13, 15, while guided by first and second guide plates 16, 17. Respective recesses 20, 21 with the depths being approximately accumulated dimensional tolerance lengths of the respective conveyance rollers 12, 14 are formed in a paper abutment face of the first guide plate 16, and the respective conveyance rollers 12, 14 are arranged as being retreated by the accumulated dimensional tolerance lengths. This constitution can prevent the paper sheet 3 from jammed in a clearance 25 between the both guide plates 16, 17 and smoothly convey the paper sheet 3.
