PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording method and an ink jet recorder in which the ejection quantity of processing liquid can be set optimally and a high quality image can be recorded at high speed while preventing the occurrence of uneven color even when bi-directional recording is performed using a recording head which can eject different inks. SOLUTION: Recording heads A, F for ejecting processing liquid are disposed on the opposite sides in the scanning direction of recording heads B, C, D, E for ejecting ink. Processing liquid data for ejecting processing liquid from the recording heads A, F is generated based on data for ejecting ink from the recording heads B, C, D, E. |
