PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide another method for aligning a rubber blanket having a register cutout and to provided a rubber blanket specially suitable to execution of the method. SOLUTION: The rubber blanket 5 comprising register cutouts 23, 24 stretchable over a cylinder is aligned relatively to a clamper 6 having register pins 21, 22 by contacting the cutouts 23, 24 with the pins 21, 22 when the clamper 6 is mounted on the cylinder. The blanket 5 is made of a blanket material 13, and the cutouts 23, 24 are provided at the clamp strip piece 11 of the blanket 5.
