PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel copper phthalocyanine suitable as a water-soluble turquoise blue dye. SOLUTION: The copper phthalocyanine dye comprises a copper phthalocyanine skeleton, into which one or more of [SO2-A], wherein A is an amino group represented by -N(R)(R1), wherein R represents hydrogen or a 1-4C alkyl group or hydroxyalkyl group; and R1 represents a 1-12C hydroxyalkyl group that has 1 to 11 OH groups in an alkylene chain, and [SO2-D], wherein D is an amino group represented by -N(R4)2 in which R4 represents hydrogen, a 1-4C alkyl group, a hydroxyalkyl group, a carboxylalkyl group, an alkylsulfonic acid group or a phenyl group substituted with a vinylsulfone group, are introduced, respectively.
