PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety fixing device for drawers which does not require catch members and which is hard to break and can cope with any commodities by changing the strength of a spring even if the weight of a vertically moving locking plate varies dependent on commodities, and further, which can cope with any commodities by changing the entire size of a dog-legged hole or groove in the vertically moving distance (size). SOLUTION: This safety fixing device for drawers is provided to keep a fixing position when an actuation tool 3 is moved in a hole or a groove 4 through an actuation shaft 6 provided in an actuation plate 5, by providing the locking plate to be vertically movable by the actuation tool 3 through a locking bar at the inside of a steel furniture body and by forming a dog-legged or an inverted dog-legged hole or groove 4 in the actuation tool 3 and providing the actuation shaft 6 formed in the actuation plate 5 fixed to the locking plate so as to engage with the hole or the groove 4, in the steel furniture such as a cabinet or the like retractably housing a plurality of stages of drawers.
