PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pole having a simple configuration for the closing of traffic permitting an easy release operation of the linkage state of a pole erected and also a pole pull-out work after the release in addition to the securing the management limited to a particular release key for the linkage release for the pole. SOLUTION: A pole 1 for closing traffic comprises a guide pipe 11 embedded below the ground surface 14, and a hollow pole 2 elected in a state of insertion through the upper end opening portion into the guide pipe 11. Inside the pole 2, an oscillating rod 3 is journaled to a supporting shaft 5 crossed between the inner wall surfaces through the bearing portion 4 of the intermediate portion, and journaled in the state where the oscillation of the upper and lower ends is possible. At the lower end of this oscillating rod 3, a locking claw 6 is provided and, at the upper end of this oscillating rod 3, a spring 9 at the upper end exerting so as to provide a state in contact with a constant position of the inner side surface of the pole 2 is provided through a receiver 8 at a position for linking to the linking pin 13 of a circular column shape crossed at the center position near the bottom inside the guide pipe 11 with the linkage claw, and also a key hole 10 is provided at the side wall portion of the pole 2 facing a locking hole 8a formed at the side surface of the receiver 8.
