PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute an instruction by a small amount of high-speed access memory at high speed. SOLUTION: This memory access system is provided with a main storage device 40 store a program and a memory 20 for instruction to which high speed access is possible to register instruction codes for four words from the head of a branching instruction in the instruction to be included in the program, a high speed access control part 2 detects that an instruction to be executed next is the branching instruction, acquires the instruction code at the head of the branching instruction from the memory 20 for instruction and transfers it to a CPU 1. The CPU 1 executes the instruction code at the head of the transferred branching instruction and executes the instruction of the program without generating a stand-by state by performing an instruction pre-fetch processing to read the instruction code to be continuously executed from the main storage device 40. When no branching instruction is registered in the memory 20 for instruction, the high-speed access control part 2 registers the instruction codes for four words from the head of the detected branching instruction in the memory (20) for instruction.
