PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle lower body structure capable of lowering a floor with reducing a length in the longitudinal direction of a hydrid automobile by forming a step part higher than a main face (a general face) of a floor panel in the floor panel below a seat allowing seating of an occupant, and disposing a fuel tank for an engine and a battery for a motor in a step part space below the floor panel. SOLUTION: In this vehicle lower body structure for the hybrid automobile selecting the engine 15 and the motor according to prescribed conditions to travel, the floor panel 5 below the seat 6 allowing seating of the occupant is formed with the step part 7 higher than the main face 5b of the floor panel 5, and the fuel tank for the engine 15 and the battery for the motor are disposed in the space of the step part 7 below the floor panel 5.
