PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stability/safety device for a ladder in the high-place work. SOLUTION: Semicircular P-shaped metals are removably fitted to the object contact portions at the tip section of a ladder frame, and rubber or resin rubber is stuck to the object contact sections of the metals. When the ladder is leaned against an object, the contact area is stably secured, the frictional resistance is increased, and the object is prevented from being damaged and is protected. The ladder can be satisfactorily hooked on a roof by the P-shape of the fitting metals, and the installation work is facilitated. The ladder can easily jump over a rain gutter, the contact area is secured, and the rain gutter is protected. The ladder can cope with a wall face at an inclination angle freely selected by the protruded semicircular sections, the friction is increased by the secured contact area and the use of rubber, a side slip is prevented, and the object can be cured by this stability/safety device. Rotating half-moon type hook metals are fitted to the semicircular portions to obtain a side slip preventing stability device capable of coping with the handrail of a veranda, a scaffold, and an overhead electric wire and capable of being used as a vertical lift suspended ladder in a wide range.
