PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector end face grinding machine which can easily and correctly grind an end face of an optical fiber protruded from an end face of a ferrule to form the optical fiber connection high in performance. SOLUTION: The end face of the optical fiber protruded from an end face 333 of an optical connector fixing jig can be abraded and ground by an optical fiber grinding plate 342 embedded in a bar-like part 34a by fitting a recessed part 33c between two projecting parts 33a and 33b of the optical connector fixing jig 33 with an optical connector 32 fixed thereto to the bar-like part 34a of an optical fiber grinding jig 34, and achieving the sliding operation of the optical connector fixing jig 33 so that the recessed part 33c slides in the longitudinal direction of the bar-like part 34a.
