PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for bonding a sheet piece made of a synthetic resin to a continuous long base material made of a synthetic resin by welding. SOLUTION: A process for intermittently transferring a continuous long base material made of a synthetic resin in a longitudinal direction, a process for intermittently transferring a continuous long sheet material made of a synthetic resin toward the surface of the base material in the direction same to the transfer direction of the base material, a process for starting the intermittent transfer of the sheet material in such state that a molten part is formed in the leading end part of the sheet material by fusing and integrally transferring the sheet material along with the base material in a temporary bonded state such that the molten part is brought into contact with the surface of the base material to be welded thereto and subsequently stopping the base material and the sheet material at the same time and a process for fusing the sheet material at the stop time to separate and form the sheet piece temporarily bonded to the base material through the molten part and strongly bonding the sheet piece to the base material are provided. |
