PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for housing a maintenance carriage capable of eliminating a limitation on a layout when winding devices are arranged and reducing a burden of takeout operations of a working carriage on an operator while using the structure also as a housing site for the maintenance carriage out of use by keeping the width for admitting the maintenance carriage within a frame dimension in the longitudinal direction of the frame when the maintenance carriage is arranged in the vicinity of a takeout port for the working carriage. SOLUTION: This structure for housing a maintenance carriage 20 designed to keep the width (d) for admitting the maintenance carriage 20 within the dimension L in the longitudinal direction of the frame when the maintenance carriage 20 is arranged in a housing part 21 by installing the housing part 21 for the maintenance carriage 20 at the end of a blower box 4 in frame ends and enabling the maintenance carriage 20 to advance and retreat from the front and rear directions of spinning units 1u in a spinning machine 1 which is one of the winding devices. Furthermore, the end within a reciprocating and running range of the working carriage 2 is provided with a takeout port 32 for the working carriage 2. Thereby, the working carriage 2 reaching the end by itself is directly taken out onto the maintenance carriage 20 by the operator and transferred thereonto.
