PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic effective for softening the hair, smoothing the hair surface, improving the combing easiness, imparting hair with luster and gloss, preventing the generation of split hair and suppressing the static charge accumulation of the hair. SOLUTION: The objective hair cosmetic contains (A) a cationic surfactant, (B) a silicone and (C) extracted or squeezed product of a plant selected from Malva sylvestris var. sylvestris, Nasturtium officinale, gentiana, Arctium lappa, Saponaria officinalis, Zanthoxylum piperitum, Tilia japonica, Acorus calamus, Equisetum arvense, Achillea millefolium, Swertia pseudochinensis, Centaurea cyanus and Saxifraga stolonifera.
