PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data-processing apparatus which can print and record detailed characteristics of a change with time of sampling data to a recording paper by numerical values. SOLUTION: The time required for a printer to finish printing one data after a command is issued (one data-printing time) is measured beforehand. A printing section (corresponding to the one data-printing time) is set by dividing the points of time when analog data sampled with high frequency wave by every fixed number. Characteristics of sampling data are set by a CPU not shown with processing of data after sampling taken into consideration. When the printing order is supplied to the printer, the printer prints characteristics of sampling data in each printing section by numerical values to the recording paper. In a printing section 1, a maximum value T1 of sampling data inputted at a sampling point Se with a waveform W can be printed by the numerical value.
