PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost and to enable recording having a high recording grade and reliability in sealing constitution of a recording head used in an ink jet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: When the end part of the base film 25 of the wiring board in a recording head and a recording element substrate 1 are sealed, the arranging position of the electrode terminal of the wiring substrate is set at a position retreating from the end part of the base film 25 by a distance 1 and, at the time of the filling with a sealant, the filling of a seal resin 13 is performed by utilizing capillary force due to the relatively narrow gap of the groove formed by the retreat of the arranging position of an electrode. By utilizing the capillary force, a sealant relatively high in flowability and the same as the seal resin 13 applied to the periphery of the recording element substrate can be used. The seal resin 13 does not form a projected part on the recording element substrate at the time of the sealing of the end part of the base film.
