PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip which can easily be assembled to a flange or a door sash and also firmly fixed by using a shape memory rubber molding and provide a manufacturing method and an assembling method for it. SOLUTION: This weather strip includes a fitting base part 32 having a substantially U-shaped section, in which a flange F formed on the opening edge of a body of an automobile is inserted from the opening part 32a side, a hollow seal part 33 integrally formed on the fitting base part 32, and claw-like lip parts 36-39 formed on the insides of the side walls 34, 35 of the fitting base part 32 to hold the flange F. At least the lip parts 36-39 are formed by a shape memory rubber molding made by dispersing granular resin material in vulcanizing rubber to be blended, and raised from the insides of the side walls 34, 35 by heating treatment to be freely restored to the state of holding the flange F. |
