METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF TETRACYCLODODECENE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and continuous production process for tetracyclodecene, as the raw materials such as olefins and 2-norbornenes are recycled and reused. SOLUTION: Ethylene and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) are continuously fed to the reactor to effect their reactions and the unreacted olefins and the norbornenes (NB) bearing no 10C unsaturated hydrocarbons wholly are separated and circulated whereby the tetracyclododecenes (TCD) represented by general formula 3 (R1 and R2 are the same or different and each of them is H, methyl or ethyl). Since the unreacted components are wholly separated and circulated whereby the effective utilization ratio is increased.
