PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doze detection equipment that can detect dozing condition of a driver with a natural and simple method. SOLUTION: The equipment comprises a temperature detection means 1A that detects skin temperature of the driver, a grip detection means 1B that detects the grip strength of the driver who grips the steering wheel of a car, a recording means 1C of the change of grip strength that records the change of the grip detected by the grip detection means at a fixed interval, and a decision means of dozing condition 1D that compares the grip detected by the grip detection means with the threshold values based on the recorded data in the recording means 1C of the change of grip strength. A dozing condition is detected without giving a driver an uncomfortable sense. The decision as to whether a driver is in a dozing condition is based on the usual driving motion of the driver.
