PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having improved fuel cost reducibility, processability and vulcanization productivity, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same. SOLUTION: This rubber composition comprising (A) natural rubber and/or a dienic synthetic rubber, (B) an inorganic filler consisting mainly of silicate, and (C) an amine adduct salt represented by the general formula (I) (R1 is a 8 to 24C alkyl or alkenyl, an aryl or an aralkyl; R2 and R3 are each H, a 1 to 12C alkyl or alkenyl, an aryl, an aralkyl or a hydroxyalkyl; R4 is a 6 to 24C alkyl or alkenyl, an aryl or an aralkyl), and a pneumatic tire using the same.
