METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CARDIAC RADIOGRAPHY BY CONVENTIONAL COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cardiac radiographic method and apparatus by use of a scanning computerized tomography(CT) imaging system. SOLUTION: A patient's heartbeat cycle is measured, and the scanning CT imaging system is used to scan the patient's heart at an angular velocity that is asynchronous with the heartbeat cycle measured, to obtain image data. Next, an image of the patient's heart is constructed from segments of image data which are discontinuous in terms of time. The image corresponds to the portion from which the heartbeat cycle is selected.
