PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an inverted bowl type drain trap from being increased in thickness when guiding apparatus drainage into the trap from the side face of the trap under a waterproof pan in a bathroom unit having apparatuses such as a bathtub and a wash basin. SOLUTION: This inverted bowl type drain trap is provided with a water reservoir, stagnant water, a vertically removable and nearly cylindrical bulkhead separating the stagnant water into an inflow leg and an outflow leg, an opening on the side face of the water reservoir, and an inflow pipe communicating the inside and outside of the stagnant water chamber via the opening. An upward closed fairing member bending the stream flowing into the stagnant water chamber nearly downward via the inflow pipe and the opening is protruded into the stagnant water chamber, and the edge of rectifying member releasing the stream is submerged in the stagnant water at its edge section. The sealing water depth on the communicating side via the inflow pipe becomes the vertical distance between the stagnant water level of the trap and the rectifying member edge section and does not depend on the position of the inflow pipe, therefore the inflow pipe, i,e., an apparatus drain pipe, can be provided at the position where the trap is not increased in thickness.
