PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for controlling supply of current and capacitance to a compressor capable of preventing excessive current from flowing to the main winding of the compressor at the start. SOLUTION: A control signal generating part provides a control signal to control current and capacitance supplied to a compressor so as to differentiate them at starting and after starting; a current control part supplies a current by a normal voltage to a main winding by limiting it during starting, and normally supplies the current after starting, by changing an internal circuit in response to the control signal; and a capacitance control part supplies capacitance for starting and capacitance for operation using a current by a normal voltage to an auxiliary winding during starting and supplies capacitance for operation after starting, by changing the internal circuit in response to the control signal. |
