PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete placing method which can prevent generation of cold joint between a primary concrete layer and a secondary concrete layer, specifically when a long interruption of concrete placement is unavoidable in such an extent that hardening of the primary concrete layer starts after the placement of the same. SOLUTION: After placement of a primary concrete layer, a setting retarder is added to the surface of the primary concrete layer, before hardening of a surface of the primary concrete layer, by spraying the retarder by means of a spray or applying the same by means of a brush or the like. When a secondary concrete layer is placed, an accelerator is added to the surface of the primary concrete layer before hardening of the same, and then the secondary concrete layer is placed.
