<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a paper sheet among a plurality of sheets of paper in fixed sizes in such a manner that the sheet of paper of which the waste part becomes the smallest after being cut is selected in the case where a required sheet of paper is absent and a substitute one is to be used. SOLUTION: A vertical cutter section V can move a cutter 22 in vertical and horizontal directions with respect to a discharge roller 20. When a sheet of paper is cut, the cutter 22 is moved in the horizontal direction (direction A) with respect to the roller 20 corresponding to the width of the sheet of paper. After that, the cutter 22 is moved downward. When the cutter 22 is brought into contact with the roller 20, the cutter 22 is rotated in the opposite direction of the roller 20 to cut the sheet of paper in the vertical direction. A horizontal cutter section H can move a cutter 27 in horizontal (direction B) and vertical directions with respect to a discharge roller 20. When the sheet of paper is cut, the cutter 27 is moved downward to be brought into contact with the roller 20. When the cutter 27 is brought into contact with the roller 20, the cutter 27 is moved in the right-and-left direction (direction B) to cut the sheet of paper in the horizontal direction.</p> |
