PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective method capable of increasing artificial insemination rate in treating conditions of hot water emasculation method, one of methods for emasculation, in artificial mating of rice. SOLUTION: This method for mating is a method for artificial mating of rice and using hot water emasculation method and is characterized by immersing a mother plant into 46-48 deg.C warm water for 3-15 min. By the method, inbreeding seeds are decreased and hybridized seeds having high purity can be obtained, and removing of immature glumous flower is unneeded, so many hybridization works can be performed in glumous flowering of father plant and hybridization of more kind of breeds can be performed at the same time compared with conventional technology.
