PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate discomfort to an operator when images are switched during MR fluoroscopy and prevent decrease in efficiency of positioning work or the like. SOLUTION: An MRI system includes a collecting means for collecting MR data by applying along a pulse sequence a high-frequency field pulse and an inclined field pulse to a subject placed in a magnetic field, a reconfiguring means for reconfiguring the collected data into images, and an image pickup control means for controlling the operation of the collecting means and the reconfiguring means according to an image pickup mode including a fluoroscopy mode for obtaining MR fluoroscopic images by performing data collection and reconfiguration asynchronously with each other. The parameters of the images can be varied by the operator. The system also includes a determining means for determining whether or not the operator's operating condition is in a quasi-stationary state, and a parameter changing means for gradually changing the image pickup parameters of the fluoroscopy mode according to the result of determination by the determining means.
